The entire Barren Land was shrouded with dark clouds. It had already been thousands of years since the dark clouds covered the Barren Land. It seemed that after the defeat of the Demon Race, the dark clouds had never disappeared.

After Shen Yanxiao became the Demon Lord[]

The War Against the Devil Race[]
Before the battle with the Devil Race, Shen Yanxiao used three years to upgrade the overall defense of the Radiance Continent. Moats had been dug at the edges of every city, be it large or small; artillery had been set up on the walls, and archery towers had been built (Chapter 2605).
Although Satan had sent his men to collect intelligence from all parts of the Radiance Continent, the Devil Race knew nothing about the Barren Land. Conclusion of the War[]
The Alliance Army overcame the huge disparity in devil soldiers and wins the war in chapter 2749. For the first time in nearly ten thousand years, the sun fell on this weather-beaten Barren Land for the first time (Chapter 2752 RAW).
Within five years after the end of the second racial battle, the gods went from extinction to revival. On all continents of the world, the figures of the gods often appear. In the Radiance Continent, the gods appeared especially frequently. In the Barren Land, the gods had already become regular visitors here. The gods often appeared here and stayed for a while.
