Overview

The name of the group or small organization of the main characters that was first established in chapter 112. Soon after, the name of the Phantom would resound throughout the whole Barren Land, and would also spread to the entire Radiance Continent. And after a long time, it would be known to all the races in the world - an indescribably formidable force in the future (chapter 1135).

Background

This group of friends were former students from Holy Roland School and quite well-known. They were all famous figures at Holy Roland School. Each of them was a talented student at the top of each branch. They were not only strong, but also had a deep background. These several teenagers were the young masters of the five great clans of the Long Xuan Empire. They could be said to be all-powerful at the Holy Roland School.

It wasn’t until the day of the school competition that the Demon Lord, Shen Yanxiao, descended with Vermillion Bird from the sky, won the championship of the school competition, and opened the road to the Barren Land. All the teenagers made this group of powerful geniuses their goal. They knew that, soon, this group of aberrant people would erase the word “young” after their titles as number one and become the supreme representatives of the Radiance Continent! With the existence of the Phantom, there could be no other geniuses.

All the talented teenagers, shrouded in the aura of these few people, appeared to be so ordinary and unremarkable.

They were a group of unsurpassed geniuses, and there would be one day when everyone could only hope to approach their greatness (Chapter 2283).

None of the Phantom members was an ordinary character. Any one of them could easily beat all the geniuses of their profession, but Shen Yanxiao’s achievements and speed of ascension had long gone beyond the normal range of human beings. Six Divine Professionals have all appeared together in the decisive battle against the Devil Race at the Rising Sun City (Chapters 2661-2662 RAW).

Conclusion of the War

Although Shen Yanxiao and her friends have disappeared, their legends remain everywhere in the Radiance Continent. Among the major cities of the Barren Land, there are statues of them that have survived the war. People will send flowers and fruits to the statues all day long, as if to cherish the memory of their heroes (Chapter 2758 RAW).

Phantom Members' Talents

Although the talent of several Phantom members was rarely seen in thousands of years, the reason for their fast promotion had something to do with Shen Yanxiao. Before they met Shen Yanxiao, they were only at the level of Senior Professionals, but when they entered the Barren Land and reached the second stage professions, their speed of improvement, instead of going down, had actually increased! This was based entirely on the environment Shen Yanxiao had provided for them.

The residence of each member of the Phantom was made of the best spirit stones, depending on whether they were learning magic or dou qi. The Last Temple of the God Race

The last temple in the Sky City was built when the Lord God created the world, and it was also his residence. Godhood

Xiu can be regarded as the Lord God’s proxy. Although Xiu cannot directly create a god’s body for the soul like the Lord God can, it is not difficult for him to integrate a godhood and a soul. However, in terms of strength, there will be some differences with the real superior god. But if the soul is good enough to make up for those differences, it will not be impossible to deal with the devils.

Of the six founders/friends, all but Shen Yanxiao are very suitable to inherit the godhood at the last temple. Their souls meet various standards to integrate a godhood and become superior gods. The purity of their souls is acceptable to merge with the godhood (Chapters 2087-2088).

In addition to godhood, the superior gods also had divine consciousness. Godhood represented the power of the superior gods and the identity of the God Race, while the divine consciousness was more like the soul of the superior god.

Once all Shen Yanxiao’s seals are completely unraveled, even if she does not inherit a godhood, it will be enough to confront the devils. Once the seal of the eight major races is completely unraveled, even among the superior gods, her strength will be in the forefront.

God Race's Test

To inherit the godhood of the superior gods, they must first accept the God Race’s test. Only after they have passed all the tests can they be qualified to inherit godhood. Otherwise, even though they have now reached the last temple, they won’t be recognized by the godhood.

The God Race’s test must be completed by Qi Xia and others themselves. If Xiu gave them tips in advance, even if they passed the test, they would be regarded as having violated the rules. No gods would choose a violator as their successor. If Qi Xia and the rest could pass the test on their own, then the gods would naturally recognize them (Chapter 2514).

The God Race’s test, in a fundamental sense, was to force out the hidden dark side of their hearts. Everything in the test was just like a dream, combined with the bits and pieces of their memories. It was not so much a test of the gods, but rather them fighting with the dark side of their hearts (Chapter 2532).

Only when they have overcome their dark sides could they pass the test.

Li Xiaowei's test was about his childhood and after his mother passed away. It was about his decision to follow his father to the Black Tortoise Clan or not. See chapters 2517-2520.

Qi Xia's test was about his hidden feelings for Shen Yanxiao. See chapters 2521-2525.

They all passed the test in chapters 2531-2532.

Inheriting Godhood

It was not difficult to inherit godhood, but the ritual of inheritance must be held either by the Lord God or the War God, guiding them with divine force to awaken the sleeping godhood.

The War God can only guide mortals to inherit godhood, but cannot let them get rid of their mortal body and enter the body of a god. In the God Race, the only one who can create a new divine body is the Lord God. Although the gods that lost their divine bodies can restore their bodies in the last temple themselves, it is also because there is a record from before. Without the Lord God, it is essentially impossible to guide a new soul to become a superior god completely (Chapter 2091).

The ritual only takes three days, and after that it will take about a month for them to adjust to the integration of their body and godhood.

The other members of the Phantom had the chance to inherit godhood, but Shen Yanxiao did not. Because Shen Yanxiao knew very well that she was not that virtuous of a person. Therefore, Qi Xia and the others were a better choice than her (Chapters 2515-2516).

The Godhood's Choice

Different godhoods possessed different powers, which meant that not just any godhood was suitable for Qi Xia and the others to inherit.

In the whole temple, there were numerous godhoods that had been returned after the death of their previous owners, but among them, it was not so simple to find suitable ones for the five people to inherit. Each godhood had the will of the previous god that had owned it. If the inheritors differed too far from the character of the previous god, they could not perfectly inherit the power of the godhood.

Of the five, Yang Xi should be the one who was most in line with a god that had an indifferent temperament. Yang Xi was also the first person to sense the “gaze” of a godhood (Chapter 2534). Yang Xi was the first to be selected by a godhood.

A large part of the conditions of the godhoods for selecting their inheritor was extracted from the God Race’s test that had been passed by the inheritor candidates. During the course of the test, the godhood had already figured out the character and ability of the inheritor candidates. What they had to do now was to select the most suitable match from them, which was not difficult (Chapter 2538).

No matter how powerful a human being is, he can only inherit the godhood of one superior god.

The godhoods contained most of the divine powers of the superior gods. It was difficult for the human body to bear the inheritance of a godhood to begin with. If the physical quality and mental strength were not enough, it was feared that they could not bear the inheritance of a godhood at all. Even the strongest man in the Human Race would not be able to stand the inheritance of two superior gods; if one tried, he would definitely explode and die (Chapter 2538).

The godhood’s selection is done in a way wherein the strongest godhood can choose first. Unless the strongest godhoods directly give up their choice, other godhoods will not make a move.

He was responsible for harvesting the souls of all things in the world. Even the Lord God could not order him to do anything. He did not listen to anyone’s command. Although they have inherited the godhoods of superior gods, their bodies are still human. Therefore, they are not real superior gods and not as strong as them.

The first time Shen Yanxiao did after became the Lord God was bringing her Phantom's friends to the Sky City, and directly allowing them to truly inherit the godhood in their body and become real superior gods (Chapter 2759 RAW).
